The Chill Defense: Stop Chasing Kills
A very simple rule that changed how I play defense. Let them come to you, drink your coffee, and wait.
When I first started playing, I felt like I had to constantly do something on defense. If I didn’t see anyone for 20 seconds, I’d push out, get caught in the open, and die.
The biggest “cozy” realization I had was this: On defense, doing nothing is actually a strategy.
You are defending. The clock is on your side. Every second that ticks down makes the attackers more desperate. So just hold your angle, take a sip of coffee, and let them make the mistakes.
Here is a quick clip showing how a completely passive setup can completely ruin an impatient attacker’s day:

Why this works:
- Zero Stress: You don’t have to win a crazy reaction-time duel. They run into your crosshair.
- Free Info: If they don’t push you, you know they are somewhere else. You didn’t have to risk your life to find out.
Stay cozy, anchor your site, and don’t let the silence make you anxious.
